The Polyslide SL series is designed to offer maximum benefits where opening space is limited. The sliding system can be applied to large sized opening and oversized applications, this solves a common problem where conventional style impact doors or crash doors are not suitable. The Polyslide SL offers benefits far in excess of any of its competitors whilst remaining 100% recyclable.

Unlike many other alternative products the Polydoor contains absolutely zero resins, organic contents, reinforced fibres, webbing or netting materials.

The Polydoors 100% recycling value is a result of a unique design concept and the use of modern day environmental material processes. The main leaf of each Polydoor is manufactured using HDPE SAC. This material is manufactured using small area compression techniques to ensure maximum density construction and an extended lifespan. Similarly all fixings, components and the complete hinge system are manufactured using stainless steel.

Durability

The Polyslide has been designed to correct a number of long-term problems commonly associated with other types of sliding doors. These problems include cracking and splitting of door leaves and window panels, failed hinge mechanisms, limited finger protection and more importantly the ability to maintain any sustainability or recycling values once the product reaches the end of its life.

The Polyslide is supplied as standard with a 5 year guarantee against the defects commonly associated with other types of doors. This guarantee is offered against any cracking or splitting on any part of the panel and against any malfunction on the Polyslide sliding system.

Applications

The Polyslide can be installed in temperatures ranging from -25° to +60° and is available with a range of options to suit almost any application. The specially manufactured panel is impervious to almost every chemical available and is suitable in environments from heavy industrial applications to more sensitive and clinical applications. The Polyslide is a designed to maintain a uniformed look with an almost identical door for a range of applications.

Materials & Technology

The Polyslide is manufactured using the latest CNC equipment to ensure a perfect fit. Using this technology, the Polyslide is manufactured using a frameless vision section designed to eliminate more common unsightly and troublesome plastic & metal window surrounds. Each vision section is available in custom shapes and sizes and can be installed almost anywhere on each door. The Polydoor is also designed to incorporate optional low level vision sections to comply DDA regulations. Each vision section is manufactured using a solid 15mm acrylic panel.

Each Polyslide incorporates a full stainless steel sliding track system, in addition each door is supplied as standard with stainless steel mounting plates and is available with a manual or electric option. Each leaf is additionally strengthened with the incorporation of a full length HDPE channel. All other steel fixings and components are also manufactured using stainless steel. No galvanised, zinc or mild steel components are used in the production of the Polyslide. 

Safety

The Polyslide is available with a number of safety features to increase safety in the workplace. There is standard finger protection included on the leading edge of each door (specified at order stage). This protection is also optional on both the spine of each door and the top of each door (height dependant). The Polyslide FPS can be supplied in a range of environmentally friendly materials and is also available at optional heights.

Other safety features include DDA compliant vision sections.

Colours & Finishes

The Polyslide is available in any RAL colour. Unlike any other type of material the Polyslide is a solid dense panel which has no surface coating. Unlike coated surfaces that 'chip' and leave harmful materials exposed, the Polyslide is a solid construction with the same colour and material through the total material thickness.

All doors can be manufactured in similar or contrasting colours to match almost any architectural or corporate colour schemes.

The Polyslide is also available with marble & granite effects allowing customers the chance to be creative with the design of each door. The ability to select a range of finishes and options help ensure integration into existing corporate identity colour schemes.
